  • Students completing this course will gain the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
    This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR in various situations, including community and workplace settings.

    Upon successful completion of this course, the following unit(s) will be issued by ABC First Aid – RTO 3399:

    • HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

    • HLTAID009 CPR (Standard) - face to face learning is 2 hrs, online learning up to 1 hrs

    • HLTAID009 CPR (Express) - face to face learning is 30 min, online learning up to 1 hrs.

    The statement of attainment is valid for 12 months and should be updated annually.

  • Students completing this course will gain the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
    This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

    Upon successful completion of this course, the following unit(s) will be issued by ABC First Aid – RTO 3399:

    • HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

    • HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support

    • HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support (Standard) - face to face learning is 4 hrs, online learning up to 1.5 hrs

    • HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support (Express) - face to face learning is 45 min, online learning up to 1.5 hrs

    The statement of attainment is valid for 3 years

    Please note that the CPR component of the training is valid for 12 months and should be updated annually

  • Students completing this course will gain the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
    This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

    Upon successful completion of this course, the following unit(s) will be issued by ABC First Aid – RTO 3399:

    • HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

    • HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support

    • HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid

    • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (Express) - face to face learning is 1 hrs, online learning up to 2 hrs

    The statement of attainment is valid for 3 years,

  • Students completing this course will gain the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants and children in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

    This unit applies to a range of workers within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthma and anaphylactic emergencies.

    This includes early childhood workers and educators who work with school-age children in outside school hours care and vacation programs.

    Upon successful completion of this course, the following unit(s) will be issued by ABC First Aid – RTO 3399:

    • HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

    • HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support

    • HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid

    • HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting

Additionally, as a passionate and experienced paramedic, Maddy offers unaccredited Infant and Child First Aid workshops designed to help caregivers feel more confident in responding to emergencies involving children.

ConTENT COVERED IN WORKSHOPS:

Lets face it, our inquisitive and busy baby's can face injury, illness or be involved in accidents at any moment; which can be completely out of our control. I aim to give you control of the moments that follow; by empowering and educating you to recognise and respond quickly, by caring calmly for your little one until professional help arrives.

Our 4-hour unaccredited workshop focuses on essential infant and child first aid skills, including CPR. This hands-on, interactive session is designed for new and expecting parents, carers, and grandparents who want to develop the knowledge and confidence to respond to emergencies in the home.
